Privacy Policy

The Oxfordshire Business Awards Limited (“OXBA) takes the privacy of personal data very seriously.

We collect personal information so that we can organise and run the OXBA and will hold information about you and your application on our systems which is private personal information as set out in the General Data Protection Regulations (2016).

We will hold information such as name, address, telephone number, email address and any other contact details so we can accept and process an application that you submit for the consideration of an OXBA Award.

As an application form needs to be completed for each submission for consideration, which includes acceptance of this privacy policy, OXBA therefore has a legitimate interest in having this information.  If you do not complete this application form, it will not be possible to enter the OXBA.

Where you have subscribed to an OXBA mailing list, then we hold that information because there is a legitimate interest basis for doing so.

If you are a sponsor of OXBA then we will hold information about you and the sponsorship in our records based on a contractual legal basis together with any financial transactions for seven years.

If you book and pay for a table at the OXBA Dinner, it may be necessary to confirm your guests names and contact details as well as your own, and OXBA have a contractual interest in storing and using this information for issuing tickets, event administration and security.

OXBA will also use your legitimate interests to contact you with information about the event and general correspondence during the OXBA process.

We may use your name and/or photograph(s) in our general publicity information, on our website, and also to advertise and promote OXBA events.

We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

Details of your visits to our website including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, whether this is required for our own purposes.

Your information is shared with nominated and approved OXBA judges who process your application, and OXBA have appropriate contracts with these individuals regarding the protection of your information on the same basis as OXBA itself.

OXBA take necessary steps to protect your information electronically and physically, and will not transfer your information to any unauthorised third party or outside the EU without your express permission beforehand.

We will need to retain information about you in connection with your application for 36 months and any financial transaction for 7 years to comply with UK legislation.

We recognise that it is important that personal information is kept accurate and up to date, and OXBA will take reasonable steps to maintain the information that it holds.  If you need to tell us of any changes to your information or have any other query, please contact us below
